CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA GOVERNOR GODWIN EMEFIELE INVITED OVER THE NEW NAIRA NOTE BY GOVERNORS

The governors forum who invited the CBN governor to a virtual meeting on Thursday on the recent CBN policy of redesigning the naira notes.

Godwin Emefiele had announced the initial decision of the Bank to redesign the naira note on October 26, 2022, the Bank urging Nigerians not to wait until January 31, 2023, to get the new notes.

The agenda of the meeting which is the economic and security implication of naira redesign and and withdrawal policy which have been the point of discussion for some time now.
