Rivers State dominated and controlled by PDP losses all senators to APC as the last Osinakachukwu Ideozu depart the party

As the defection act continues to tour round, the senator representing Rivers West, Osinakachukwu Ideozu was the last in the state among all three senators to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressive Congress as the Majority Leader at the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, announced Osinakachukwu’s defection at plenary on Wednesday today.
Lawan, who was moving a motion for the adjournment of plenary till
November 6, welcomed and congratulated him for joining the majority party.
It was rumoured during the week that one of the three state senator, Magnus Abe (Rivers South East) was making plan to defect from the All Progressive party of which he denied as he responded that the information carried by the social media and other press was false.
With this, the three senators from Rivers Senators Andrew Uchendu (Rivers East), Osinakachukwu Ideozu (Rivers West) and Magnus Abe (Rivers South East), a PDP-controlled state, are now members of the APC.
