Commissioning of new Port Harcourt Airport International terminal today by President Buhari as Amaechi was absent

Rotimi Amaechi during the commissoning of the new Port Harcourt Airport international terminal today was no were to the found as his excelency, the president of the Federation arrive the state capital at around 12: 30 pm. The terminal project which began in 2013 with a $500 million loan taken from China, has three others in line which are those of Abuja, Kano and Lagos.
The Leader of the All Progressives Congress in the State was absent as claims from rumour states that the minister of transportation was in Ibadan attending a Town Hall meeting organised by the Federal government.
The president was welcome and received by the Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike in company of other leaders of the People’s Democratic
Party, and all other senators in the state which include Andrew Uchendu, Magnus Abe, Osi Ideozu, as well as the Director General of NIMASA, Dakuku Peterside led other APC leaders to welcome Buhari in Rivers state.

The governors forum who invited the CBN governor to  a virtual meeting on Thursday on the recent CBN policy of redesigning the naira notes. Godwin Emefiele had announced the initial decision of the Bank to redesign the naira note on October 26, 2022, the Bank urging Nigerians not to wait until January 31, 2023, to get the new notes. The agenda of the meeting which is the economic and security implication of naira redesign and and withdrawal policy which have been the point of discussion for some time now.
