Boko Haram logistics base alongside vehicles destroyed by Nigeria Air Force (NAF)

The Nigeria Air Force has claimed to have destroyed the boko haram base on Tuesday. The spokemans in abuja this morning, said its Air Task Force, ATF, of Operation Lafiya Dole, last Tuesday, destroyed Boko Haram terrorists’ logistics base, along with some vehicles, at Tumbun Sale in Northern Borno State.

Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, said “the operation was conducted on 23 October 2018 after Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions revealed
the presence of some Boko Haram terrorists’ vehicles and several fighters camouflaged under thick vegetation within the area, where the Boko Haram terrorists had converged in order to launch attacks against own troops’ positions. ”
He said the Nigeria Air Force working with surface forces will ensure no reminant of the terrorist is found in other areas of north Borno nor lake chad.

The governors forum who invited the CBN governor to  a virtual meeting on Thursday on the recent CBN policy of redesigning the naira notes. Godwin Emefiele had announced the initial decision of the Bank to redesign the naira note on October 26, 2022, the Bank urging Nigerians not to wait until January 31, 2023, to get the new notes. The agenda of the meeting which is the economic and security implication of naira redesign and and withdrawal policy which have been the point of discussion for some time now.
