Senate President Bukola Saraki faces debate challenge by APC on National TV

Mr Yekini Nabena the Acting National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has accepted Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s challenge to debate national issues on any national television.

Saraki in a statement by his Special
Adviser on Media and Publicity Yusuf Olaniyonu, had said: “Mr Yekinni Nabena should know by now that many people on the media believe he is a robot and has no face. Here is an opportunity for him to come out of his hiding and come on a national television to debate all the issues he has raised with one of the aides of the Senate President.
“We hope he will take up this challenge and stop behaving like a masquerade. He is free to choose any independent TV station of his choice.

The governors forum who invited the CBN governor to  a virtual meeting on Thursday on the recent CBN policy of redesigning the naira notes. Godwin Emefiele had announced the initial decision of the Bank to redesign the naira note on October 26, 2022, the Bank urging Nigerians not to wait until January 31, 2023, to get the new notes. The agenda of the meeting which is the economic and security implication of naira redesign and and withdrawal policy which have been the point of discussion for some time now.
